Misc. Information
    • Cabinet requirements are pretty basic keep it about .4 to .5 cf. and you should be fine, ported if you want or sealed either will work.
    • Wiring, the crossover to the speakers is very straight forward, we will be putting the woofers in series. The red leads from the crossover are for the woofers, the solid red lead is positive. We take it and connect to the positive terminal on woofer #1. Next you will need a length of wire to run from the negative terminal on woofer #1 to the positive terminal on woofer #2. This leaves you with a red lead with a stripe, it connects to the negative terminal on woofer #2, you have wired the woofer in series.
    • Hooking up the tweeter is easier, you use the blue leads from the crossover for this, the solid lead goes to the positive terminal on the tweeter, the blue lead with the stripe connects to the negative terminal on the tweeter.
  • For best response use a tweeter on top design (vertical layout), see picture below.

I bought this setsof these to build some rear channel towers for my home theater system. I needed to get the speakers up high enough to be heard when sitting in my recliner so I made a pair of Tall Boy Tritrix, a Curt Campbell design.

This kit when installed in a well designed and well built cabinet sound great. I would compare them to any commercial speaker system of the same size and they would come out winners.

Thanks Mavin & thanks Curt!

Bought these speakers not to listen to music but as an economical way to get better sound from my large screen TV. They sound better than I expected. The bass doesn't rattle the neighbor's windows but still makes my wife complain when I turn it up. Am also pleased with the sound of my classical CDs through these - good depth and range. Build the cabinets right and you'll have a great set of speakers at a price that can't be beat.
