Unique to the world, the Uni-Z 48jp woofer offers you a speaker that can be used at Home, or one that is at Home in your Car. This standard 12" Woofer that can be used in either a 4 or 8 ohm system. The Mavin Uni-Z 4/8jp Combines Hot Look, Great Sound, Super Performance.

Modeled after the Cerwin Vega woofers of old with the Hot Looking Red Surrounds, the Uni-Z 4/8jp not only looks strikingly good, but sounds and performs even better.

A heavy hitter in both sound and weight the Mavin Uni-Z 4/8jp weights in at 7 kilos or over 15 pounds, with 160 ounces being the magnet, this makes for a high performance 92 db woofer. Power it with 10 watts or 1000 watts the Mavin Uni-Z 4/8jp is right at home. Unlike most after market speaker the Uni-Z 4/8jp also comes with our 1 year warranty, so buy with the confidence that you are purchasing a quality product.

Note this is a very heavy speaker and will require the use of at least #12 screws and a 3/4" or greater cabinet front to secure correctly. T Nuts may be required if the speaker is mounted vertically. The speaker can pull free, it is that heavy, if your cabinet is particle board or MDF, I would use T-Nuts to prevent damage to your cabinets....

What I was looking to do with this design was to come up with a good sounding do everything all around woofer. Have done several Cerwin Vega deals over the years, I knew there was a market for replacement Cerwin Vega woofers and no supply to be had. So I modeled the drivers looks off that of the Classic Cerwin Vega or JBL style of woofer, but that is where it stops, this Woofer is right at home in a 3 ohm, 4 ohm, 8 ohm or 12 ohm environment.
