D E S C R I P T I O N

What I wanted to do here is put together a kit that would bring back the big sound of the 70's.
Remember those days, BIG Amp's, BIG Speakers, W I D E Collars, BIG Hair. Well this kit will allow you to at least build the big speakers.... Let's start with the basics, you get the components to build one pair of speakers, meaning you get four of the 10" woofers, two of the mid's, two of the tweeters, and two crossovers.

Pounding in this kit is brought to you by Eosone, (they were a division of Polk Audio) we put a pair of the 10" woofers.
For the Mid Range, we add a nice little 5" ESS Enclosed Back Mid Range Driver.
Then for warm clear highs we use the Cerwin Vega WT-1 Soft Dome Tweeter
It is all tied together using a Bi-Amp Capable Cerwin Vega 3 way Crossover.

All items are brand new. When built, it will bring a tear to your eye, or your wife's, now she has to live with them too....

Cerwin Vega 3 way crossover
The Crossover is a nice 12 db Cerwin Vega 3 way Bi Amp Capable Crossover. Used in their CVT series of Home Audio Speakers it is great for a 10" to 15" woofer, the crossover points should be in the 600 Hz. and 3700 Hz. range. As for power, it is good to 250 watts, and stable for both 4 and 8 ohm systems.

What does Bi-Amp Capable mean?

The crossover allows you to use two amplifers on the speaker, one high power monster for the woofer and a lower power amp for the mid and tweeter to optimize performance.
